হুইপ সামশুল হক চৌধুরী এমপি বলেছেন,শেখ হাসিনার নেতৃত্বে সারা বাংলাদেশের ন্যায় পটিয়াতেও ব্যাপক উন্নয়ন হয়েছে। বিগত ১৩ বছরে পটিয়াতে সাড়ে ৫ হাজার কোটি টাকার দৃশ্যমান উন্নয়ন প্রকল্পে পটিয়ার চেহারা পাল্টে গেছে।
এ উন্নয়ন অগ্রযাত্রা অব্যাহত রাখতে শেখ হাসিনার বিকল্প নেই। তিনি গত বুধবার উপজেলার কেলিশহর মধ্যপাড়া চারা বটতল সার্বজনীন দুর্গা বাড়ী ও বিশ্বজনীন গীতা আশ্রম প্রাঙ্গনে অসহায়দের মাঝে বস্ত্র ও নগদ অর্থ বিতরণ অনুষ্ঠানে প্রধান অতিথির বক্তব্যে একথা বলেন।
এসময় উপস্থিত ছিলেন পটিয়া উপজেলা চেয়ারম্যান মোতাহেরুল ইসলাম চৌধুরী, উপজেলা নির্বাহী অফিসার মোহাম্মদ আতিকুল মামুন, জেলা আ.লীগ নেতা বিজন চক্রবর্তী, ওসি রেজাউল করিম মজুমদার, ভাইস চেয়ারম্যান মাজেদা বেগম শিরু, ইউপি চেয়ারম্যান সরোজ সেন নান্টু, রতন চক্রবর্তী, নুরুল ইসলাম, আবু ছালেহ চৌধুরী, এম. এজাজ চৌধুরী, সুমন চক্রবর্তী, আশিষ কুমার দে, ফরিদুল আলম, শিল্পী মিত্র, আরফাত শাকিল, আবদুল্লাহ আল নোমান, বোরহান উদ্দিন প্রমুখ।
